Your consumers will find it easier to browse through your products or services when you use categories. Additionally, as a merchant, adding/creating categories makes it easier for you to keep track of your inventory and product offerings.

Adding Brand Categories and Tagging Brands
Kinds of Categories
There are two kinds of categories that can be set for your online store
-
Brand Categories- these differentiate one brand from another. While this step is optional, this is highly encouraged for businesses with multiple brands. You can skip this if all your brands are under the same category.
-
Product Categories- these group your products into product categories, which make it easier for your customers to browse through your entire catalog. This is a required step before you can start adding your products or Stock Keeping Units (SKUs).
