Enhanced Promo Code Configurations
Promotional codes give customers an incentive to buy, creating a win-win for both shoppers and your store.
How Promotional Code Works
Customers enjoy discounts on the products they want, while your store drives sales and builds loyalty. Promo codes are effective for attracting both new and returning customers, making them a powerful tool in your marketing strategy.
Generic Promo Codes
Generic promo codes use a single alphanumeric code that all customers can use. This makes launching promotions faster and easier on both your POS and the RUSH Content Management System (CMS)
Because the code is simple, customers can easily remember and apply it.
Generic codes work best for:
-
Acquisition campaigns (e.g., RUSHFIRST360)
-
Seasonal or holiday promotions (e.g., RUSHXMAS)
-
Influencer or partner marketing (e.g., RUSHJOHNDOE25)
Unique Promo Codes
Unique promo codes are one-time use codes given to specific customers. To use them, you need to upload your list of unique codes to the RUSH Content Management System (CMS). These codes must also be accepted by your POS system.
Using unique codes helps personalize promotions and prevents misuse.
Example codes:
- KENTYBIRTHDAY10
- MKBDAYBASH20
Free Delivery
Toggle this option to enable a Free Delivery offer. Once enabled, the delivery fee will be automatically deducted at checkout.
You may also set a Minimum Spend—this is optional.
- Enter the minimum basket amount (in Php) required to apply the promo code.
- This field accepts decimal values (e.g., Php 500.50)
Note: Leave this field blank if you prefer not to require a minimum spend
Delivery Fee Discount
If you don’t want to offer free delivery, you can give a delivery discount instead. Just toggle this option on and enter your desired discount rate.
Unlike the Free Delivery option, this only reduces the delivery fee—it doesn’t remove it completely. This can still encourage customers to order more and save on delivery costs.
This setting works with other promo configurations like:
- Minimum Spend (optional)
- Maximum Discount
Maximum Discount
Set a cap on how much will be deducted from your customer’s basket when they apply the promo code.
You can set this as:
- A fixed amount (in Php), or
- A percentage (%) — accepts whole numbers only (e.g., 25%)
Product Category
You can offer a discount for specific product categories.
To do this, select Product Category from the Type of Promo Code dropdown menu, then choose the categories where you want the discount to apply.
You can select multiple product categories. For example: Get 20% off on all desserts. This is useful if you want to promote certain items or drive sales in a specific category.
Brand and Branch
Running multiple brands or locations? You can create promo codes that apply only to selected brands or branches.
To set this up, choose Brand and Branch from the Type of Promo Code dropdown. Then, pick the specific brand(s) and branch(es) where the promo should be valid.
You can select more than one.
Example: Enjoy 10% off at select newly opened branches.
This is a great way to highlight a specific brand or drive traffic to new or underperforming branches.
Value Based
Use Value-Based promo codes to give a discount on the total product value in your customer’s cart — delivery fees not included.
Choose Value-Based in the Type of Promo Code dropdown to set it up.
It’s a smart way to reward higher spend and increase your average order value.
