How Promotional Code Works

When a store issues promotional codes, they're providing customers with an incentive to buy, which benefits both the customer and the business. Customers get the products they want for a lower price, and the ecommerce store generates revenue. One of the most useful things about promotional codes is that they work well with both new and returning customers.

Generic Promo Codes

Generic promo codes help you mount promotional campaigns faster by setting only one alphanumeric string that can be used by your entire customer base. On top of it being quick to deploy on your POS and RUSH Content Management System (CMS), generic codes make it easy for your customers to remember the promo code.

It’s best to use generic promo codes for acquisition campaigns (sample code: RUSHFIRST360), seasonal/ holiday schedule (sample: RUSHXMAS), and influencer/ partner marketing (RUSHJOHNDOE25)

Unique Promo Codes

Unique promo codes require an extra step on the whole process of setting-up your promotional campaign. You need to have your set of generated unique promo codes uploaded on the RUSH Content Management System (CMS) and it should be accepted on your POS.

Despite the additional step, unique promo codes allow you to have a more personalized approach to your customers and eliminate misuse of promo codes.

Whichever of the two types of promo code matches your objective, here are some of the new configurations we added to make your promotion extra hardworking.
