Engage Your Customers with Smart Broadcasts

The Engagement module is a powerful marketing feature that helps you stay connected with your customers.

It allows you to send SMS, push notifications, or email broadcasts to promote new promos, updates, or announcements about your business.

Creating a Broadcast

  1. From the Engagement Module>Broadcasting tab, click the Create Broadcast button on the upper-right side of the screen.
  2. Choose from the three available broadcast types:

    • SMS Broadcast
      A mass message sent via SMS (text message) to a group of recipients or target audience. This is ideal for reaching customers directly on their mobile phones for promotions, alerts, or important updates.
    • Email Broadcast
      An email sent to multiple recipients or a target audience at once. It is commonly used for newsletters, promotional campaigns, announcements, or transactional updates.

    • Push Notification Broadcast
      A notification sent directly to users’ devices (mobile app) via push notifications. These are often used for instant updates, reminders, promotions, or alerts to engage users in real-time.

 

 

 

SMS Broadcast

Best for: Direct, guaranteed reach (customers don’t need internet access).

  • Toggle ON to activate SMS broadcasting.

  • Enter your SMS message content.

    A live preview of the SMS will appear in the center of the screen.



Important Notes:

The standard SMS length is 140 characters. Longer messages are allowed, but every additional 140 characters will count as one SMS, up to a maximum of 3 pages. Make sure your message only includes allowed characters and, for best practices, check out:  The Ultimate Guide to Effective SMS Blasting.

Reminder: Customers must be opted-in and have verified their mobile numbers via OTP. Verification can be completed during sign-up or when resetting their password.

 

 

Email Broadcast

Best for: Detailed campaigns with visuals, subject lines, and brand assets.

  • Toggle ON to activate Email broadcasting.

  • Fill in the following fields:

    • Email Subject

    • Logo (Required size: 325px x 108px, horizontal)

    • Header Image (Required size: 500px x 285px, horizontal)

    • Content

A live preview will appear in the center of the screen.

Tip: Make sure your customers have verified their email addresses so they can receive your broadcasts.

Push Notification Broadcast

Best for: Instant updates through your mobile app.

  • Customers must have your app installed and logged in to receive push notifications.

  • Toggle ON to activate Push Notifications.

  • Enter the following details:

    • Notification Title (short and eye-catching)

    • Content (limit: 420 characters)

A live preview will appear in the center of the screen.

Finalizing Your Broadcast

After selecting your broadcast type and filling in the required details:

  1. Click Continue.

  2. Add a Broadcast Title.

  3. Select your Audience:

    • All Customers

    • Specific Audiences (create a segment in Customer Module > Target Segment: How to Create Target Segments)

    • Punch Card Participants (select a campaign; only members of the chosen campaign will receive the broadcast and this is only applicable for SMS broadcast)

  4. Set a Publish Date and Time.

Actions

  • Cancel – Exit without saving (you’ll need to start over).

  • Save as Draft – Save your progress and return later.

  • Publish – Schedule and launch your broadcast.
